Left-wing protesters burn Queen Elizabeth in effigy

September 9, 2013

According to Sky News:

Left-wing protesters have staged a demonstration against Britain’s involvement in the International Olympics Committee in Buenos Aires.

Around 250 demonstrators chanted anti-British slogans and burned an effigy of the Queen and a Union Flag outside the committee.

The protest was the latest by the Quebracho group that in April last year staged demonstrations in front of the British Embassy in the Argentinian capital.

The Quebracho group stages rallies calling for the Falkland Islands to be handed over to Argentine sovereignty in the wake of the 1982 Falklands War.
