Upon being introduced to His Excellency, Most Rev. Henri Charles du Cambout de Coislin, bishop of Metz, Louis XV, a child at the time, exclaimed:

“My, how ugly he is.”

Upon leaving, the bishop said:

“We have a very rude boy here.”
