The Comforting Moon

May 2, 2019

The light of the moon is complemented perfectly by the rolling of the sea.

The moon resists the shadows grandly; when the sun is distant, the moon, incompatible with the darkness, prolongs the light of the sun. It causes one to long for the sun while the sun has yet to rise, and amiably compensates for the sun’s absence, in order to console those that mourn it.

In creating diverse objects,

God as if speaks to me through them.

Ultimately, they are notes that He has written me,

or photographs which He has sent me,

that I may know what He is like.
